Socks have a reputation for being tricky. They're not! They just need someone to walk you through the scary bits!
In this small-group workshop (6 people max), you'll knit your first sock from start to finish, with me beside you at every step. We take it slowly over three sessions, so you have time to practise between classes, and nobody gets left behind at the heel.
Dates and location
| Session 1 | 07/11/2026 | 13:00-15:00 |
| Session 2 | 14/11/2026 | 13:00-15:00 |
| Session 3 | 21/11/2026 | 13:00-15:00 |
Session 1: Sizing, techniques, and cast-on. How to measure and choose the right size, how knitting in the round works, and how to cast on and start your sock. You'll go home with the leg underway and homework (the fun kind).
Session 2: The heel. The part everyone worries about, so it gets its own session. We'll work through the heel flap, turn the heel, and pick up the gusset together, with plenty of hands-on help.
Session 3: Casting off. Shaping the toe, finishing your sock beautifully, and tips for blocking and caring for your handmade socks.
